I cannot tell who his advisors are but if they are l istening, I urge them to study the mood of the country now which from all indications point to a change for the NPP or any serious political party to take over the reins of governance from the discredited NDC who for all the period they have been in power only promise Ghanaians or tell Ghanaians what they are about to do!!
The other point Allan and his cohorts should think about is why people are not talking so much about Hon. Apraku's desire to contest come 2016? This should tell Allan that he has no credibility left in right-thinking NPP voters due to the way he has carried himself from the time of his ill-thought-out resignation from the Party to the present day.

People are not talking about Apraku because they know he is not a big threat to Nana Addo's ambitions of becoming the president of Ghana. Allan is a formidable force within the NPP. Have you forgotten that in one of their flagbearership contest at the NPP congress, Allan had to give in to avoid a second-round contest between him and Nana? Now that the chance has been given to Nana twice and he lost in each election, Allan's people feel it is their right to be given the chance now. If Allan tries in 2016 and lost, he will have marketed himself very well and will be in a better position to win the elections in 2020. The Ghanaian election dynamics is that that after two terms for being the president of Ghana, the electorates will naturally like to change the party for another party. At least so far in Ghana's electoral history, that has been the trend. So Allan has a better chance to become Ghana's president if he gives a shot at the presidency now. Nana is seen as an impediment for Allan by Allan's supporters while Allan is also been seen as an impediment for Nana. However, Allan has been very patient so far. He has demonstrated 'patience' which is a good sign of a potential president than Nana. Allan seems to have the outward 'appearance' that Ghanaians look out for in potential presidents (cool, calm, gentle, appeal to floating voters, non-ethnocentric etc). So my take is that Nana should give chance to his younger brother Allan, after all, Nana can play a significant role in Allan's government.

Strong stakeholders in the party both in Ghana and overseas are not going to allow such violation to happen. Our constitution clear states that when in opposition we elect our flagbearer two years before the general elections and three when in government. May I ask Asamoah Boateng, can his Kyeremanten reap where he hasn't sowed. We are serious for 2016 therefore let's think strategically and stop these infantile politics mushrooming in our party. Paul Afoko is clearly in the Allan camp and his talk of being with Nana Addo can only becoming from the cheek. He cannot forget the slaps and humiliation he suffered at Legon. The way politics is played would dictate that both sides, now Nana Addo's and the Executive's would be doing their calculations. Surely lots of work needs to be done to put the Party into a cohesive unit. No amount of attempts to push things under the carpet would do it any good and the time for it is now.

It will be better for NPP to elect a neutral and intelligent leader.When you have a political party which is overheated with polarisation then the only remedy to have peace,strength and unity is to elect a new face that represents the interest of everybody.The choice have to be strategic and the candidate will automatically enjoy the support of both sides.I think both Nana Addo and Alan cannot win power for NPP in 2016 for simple reason that they still represent the Akyem and Asanti factions that the party should try to get rid of it.I am not going to vote for NPP because of Busia,Danquah or Dombo.I will only vote for NPP based on the programs they present.I will also not vote for Nana Addo because of the high tensions that come with it.I don't think NDC will concede defeat even if he wins.The paradox here is that Nana Addo will also not concede defeat and has made a public statement to he will not go to the Supreme Court again.So what will Nana Addo do when he loses again?That is what Ghanaians must anticipate and for this reason it's better for NPP to elect a candidate that will not create high tensions in the country after general elections.Thank you.

His continued interest in the presidential race is an indiscretion that will undermine the unity of the party. My plea to him: The party has been very generous to give you two chances. Unfortunately things didn't work out for you. Please give others a chance. Further indiscretion on your part, as a result of selfishness, will divide the party, destroy the party's chances of regaining power and consign you to history as the man who was the the cog in the wheel of NPP's quest for power in 2008, 2012 and 2016.
