Is this supposed to impress the heck out of Accra residents? For starters the article is poorly written since there are a number of cities called Columbus in the USA. Second, why does the mighty Okoe-Vanderpuije think Accra which is perhaps 10 times bigger and more populous than Columbus need from a sister city affiliation that could not be achieved with good leadership, ideas, ideals and foresight? After having lived, obtained education and worked in the USA, Dr. Vanderpuije should know he is a failed leader to look to others for development and or administrative ideas and support. What are we going to do but send some Ghanaians over to Columbus under the pretext of going for studits or cultural exchange and understanding of the ways of city management only to use the opportunity to mismanage funds and to buy from the USA what it is they cannot get but desire? This sham happens each time with the sister city crap that is becoming another cottage industry for Ghana's politicians.

So which of the several 'Columbuses' did you ALSO mean?
Certainly it can ONLY be Columbus, OHIO: it is the only Columbus that has a very large population of Ghanaians.
Again, the article did mention OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY, which is in Columbus, OH (not even in Cleveland !)
Finally let me say, unless otherise qualified, it is very natural that people would always pick the most popular city.
To test this, ask anybody: where is London? The answer will be almost invariably UK, England or Great Britain, although there exists another city called LONDON in Canada.
Or ask anybody where is Moscow? And the answer is 99% certain: Russia (USSR, Soviet Union, no longer exist), yet there exits a city called MOSCOW in Idaho, USA!

THIS DEAL IS also involved ohio state university hospital signing agreement with hospitals in accra to share technology,doctors learning from each other and the way of better and improved healthcare system.some x ray machines has been sent to accra which i happened to see it with my own eyes when the agreement between the hospitals were signed. please lets stop criticizing till its warranted
