The mind set of the Ghanaian in the diaspora is that. They are settled and therefore do not care more about Ghana apart from the holidays they make there and the cars they send to sell. Those days are over. It is high time Ghanaians in the diaspora invest heavily in the manufacturing and health sectors health sectors to prepare themselves for their home coming. When you get old abroad you have completely wasted your life and mind you, in the old peoples home pure niggers will be treated badly the way poverty is catching up with the so called white world. Ghana should also request from those in the diaspora to contribute by paving the way for development. Instead they need only their money and after that they are asked when they will go again. People wake up and build Ghana, get into politics and make a difference.

You cannot invest in an economy that is badly managed, as Ayiku says. Implementation of ROPAL is the answer. The politicians in Ghana have deliberately put impediments in the way of diasporans so they can keep us here while they continue to mismanage the affairs of the country.
I call on Diasporans every where to go on strike and not send a pesewa home to any one anywhere for any reason, not even to bury a dead relative until the politicians implement ROPAL to recognize us as full citizens of the country of our birth.

Yes: it is true diasporans including EMMANUEL AYIKU, are sleeping. When did AYIKU wake up from his sleep? When last did EMMANUEL AYIKU publish anything about ROPAL in his columns?
If AYIKU deems it fit, he would have allocated a column specifically for Diasporan Affairs.
HAS HE NOW SEEN IT FIT FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF ROPAL? WHEN LAST DID AYIKU DISCUSS PROBLEMS CONFRONTING GHANA IN HIS COLUMNS?
HE SHOULD STOP MAKING NOICE NOW. When did he realise that it was important for Ghanaians to get involve in politics and governance in Ghana?
He thinks more of his daily bread than what he had concocted with his correspondent in Manitiba.
Emmanuel Ayiku must declare war on politics in Ghana and be prepared to fight it in his columns.
The articles must be positive and not negative.

The fact is that the politicians in Ghana have deliberately erected walls to prevent well meaning and qualified Ghanaians living outside to participate in the political process. There is this we versus them reality that exists and which has been invoked over time to keep diasporans out even though our native grown politicians fall down in the management of our country.

Ken Ntiamoa What has ROPALgot to do with managing the economy? I have lived in the United states for over forty years, and I have no need of becoming a US citizen. I have a permanent residence that I respect so much and appreciate the opportunity. I respect UNITED STATES as my second home. I live here and also live in Ghana.I have a business in Ghana, and participate fully in the economy,as well participate fully I. the us economy. I PAY MY TAXES IN BOTH PLACES AND I DON,T NEED ROPAL.
You have decided to be a citizen of Foreign Land for reasons best known to you. I Don,t see nothing wrong with that, because we all have to survive. Because of survival you have dumped Ghana your motherland to become a citizen of a foreign land. You want to have your cake and eat it all by yourself?
Go ahead and eat it, no body is stopping you from doing business in Ghana, or from coming to Ghana whenever you want, You can go to the embassy for a visa to go to Ghana as all foreigners do. You are a foreigner,YOU CANNOT VOTE IN GHANA OR BECOME A POLITICIAN IN GHANA,PERIOD. If you and I have the same qualification, who has proved loyal to be given the job in Ghana. You cannot force Ghana to have your way. If you decide not to send money home to your family because of ROPAL, that is your day business, who cares. GHANA NEEDS QUAKIFIED AND LOYAL GHANAIANS TO COME HOME AND HELP DEVELOP THE NATION,AND OF COURSE, OUR FRIENDS ARE ALSO WELCOME to invest in the country. We,ll take good care of you, and your family. Would be happy you did. Those who thinks, dumping your motherland to become a foreigner is the hippest thing to do, Think twice before you do it.

I am informed in his speech published in detail on Ghana web that he is the Chief Editor of the Ghanaian News.
After reading the story, he never specifically called the attention of the NDC to the mess it has caused in the country.
He turned blind eyes to the problems confronting Ghanaians. He was therefore not objective in his analysis.
How often does Ayiku use his paper to promote Ghanaian agenda? Does he not sing "HIS MASTER'S VOICE" THE NDC?
It is easier said than done. When he was given the opportunity to speak at 58 years of Ghana's Independence at Manitoba, he prepared to be on the thin line not to offend the NDC nor the NPP. This is cawordice.
Ayiku must know that "IF YOU WANT TO PLEASE EVERYBODY, YOU PLEASE NOBODY".
He should have reminded the NDC of the problems confronting Ghanaians under its administration.
Did Ayiku know that the military government of THE PROVISIONAL NATIONAL DEFENCE COUNCIL (PNDC) and its civilian off-shoot of the NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS (NDC)have both destroyed the nation's economy for about 27 years of Ghana's existence?
These are some the facts that have impeded the nation's progress and developmwent. Ayiku was quiet about these problems. How does he expect Ghanaians in the Diaspora to dance to his tunes?
When last did Ayiku write about the implementation of the Representation of the People's Amendment Act (ROPAA) passed by parliament in 2006 in one of his columns?
He must be told that he should not portray himself as a true agitator or a fighter for the rights of all Ghanaians.
Is he using his platform wisely or foolishly?

Ghanaians see everything wrong with their country only when their party is not in power. The things going on in Ghana today were happening under the watch of the previous government but most of the the people shouting from rooftops now saw nothing wrong then. Why, because their favorite political party was in-charge.
Look at some of the commentators, Michael Baffore, former NPP Executive of Montreal (now in Winnepeg, Manitoba). Mr. Baffore is also the Ghanaian News Correspondent in Manitoba and likely involved in the selection of the Keynote Speaker. Mr. Emmanuel Ayiku a strong NPP supporter in Toronto; Mr. Ken Ntiamoah, Founding Member, NPP Canada. etc.
