I am Black Guyanese who feel that all black Africans entering Guyana should be allowed to stay. If I am in charge of immigration policy, things will be drastically different. Guyana is about the size of the UK with a population the size of Liverpool. We need people to go there and settle. The people in government are disproportionately Indians (South Asians)descendants of indentured labourers who had been introduced by the British to replace Africans following the abolition. The largest continental African group in Guyana are Nigerians who have been there since the 1970s. Many are largely professionals and are married to Guyanese women. For those who don`t much about Guyana, because of its small population and with some land available who will not find a Guyanese who doesn`t own property. Living in a rented house is one of the greatest taboos among black and Indian Guyanese. I rate Guyana as the best place to live if you want to own land and build a house of your dreams. Ghanaians, Nigerians and other continental Africans should be allowed to stay in Guyana, a black country which had been habitable through the toil of enslaved Africans. The Indian Guyanese are in charge of Guyana are racist. Black Guyanese have a lot to benefit from the progressive and aspirational Ghanaians , Nigerians and other continental Africans.
