Our attention should also be drawn to the kind of constitution we use in Ghana and the separation of powers with regards to parliament and the executives which does not do us much good in the ways explained below.
The problem is that the ministers have too much power of which they use it to the detriment of the country
The Presidents powers are too many which also conflicts with parliament and the various institutions.
As a result these civil servants(including the President) cannot be held accountable properly and they get away with their corrupt ways.
And politicians should not be running the country it is us the Ghanaians, party member or not that should be running the country-- Our constitution does not allow that.
Until we change these issues, i.e in limiting these powers and bringing them to the institutions and accountable bodies which are not party related or affiliated, our developmental problems and our dissatisfaction will remain and merely shift from one party to another.
I think we Ghanaians need to be aware of the root cause of our fledgeling democracy and the problems stated above be rectified through your campaign and others.

If they want a regime-change they must wait, as parliamentary democracy requires, until 2016 to put their policies across to the nation to win the general election. Unless their action has ulterior aim to invite the army in, they must know that Mahama government will see through its mandate and what they do will come to nothing. Even if, in the unlikely event, the army comes in, it will be folly to think that its leader will, unilaterally, hand over to a leader of a political party to govern the country.

It doesn't matter which party- NDC,NPP,CPP,etc, just let it have good governance as it's mantra with solid checks and balances between the executive, legislative bodies and the judiciary.
Look,nobody said it would be easy if it were Ghana would have been among the BRICS by now.But as part of the process of getting there we have to agitate for that change,and thus the protest, because in the final anlysis, my belief and all those agitators you call all the names in your vocabulary , is as the ancient Greek playwright Sophocles wrote, "the wonders of the world are many, but none, none is more wondrous than man." We just have to do the ABC's of good governance - advocate, belief and convert.
And, Mr. Torah Moshe Dyan,"our tax dollars " will not come to Ghana as you wish because we got to live too, but we send enough to Ghana almost $7B from our disposable incomes every year. That's surely is not chop-suey!

As a foreigner married to a Ghanaian and by default forced to live in Ghana i must say that ineptitude permiates all of Ghana society. Unfortunately the average Ghanaian workman or woman is inept. How can you expect better of the leaders? After all are they not from the Ghana public? i have a catalogue of ineptitude(is there such a word) and sometimes i feel that i am living in a land of ignorant people. However, instead of demonstrating abroad you should get back here to address the problems that you are complaining of. Then i wont have to go home every year to get a break from Ghana. (Just take a look at some of the responses to this article and you will understand what i am saying)
