yes, you are right the next struggle is the economic independence and not democracy. There are two forms of democracy: the capitalist one that based its development on the exploitation of the mass labor and create a plus value for a minority and the socialism that is based on the creation of resources for the majority of people and tries to correct the disparities between people.
Isn't America or England or France and so on not democratic countries and meanwhile they exploiting poor countries, looting their resources?
Prez Mahama, ask westerners to allow us to set the prices of our natural resources as they set without consulting with us the prices of their manufactured goods they sell to us. Don't talk to please them. That's the next struggle we need to be involved in. If not we will never develop.

Democratic institutions and instruments need to be strengthens and allowed to function without political patronage. No man is an island; Africa surely needs the good will within its peoples and from community of developed nations to keep her in steady keel for development. Unfortunately, when you get to the nitty gritty of the puzzle, you will find that the real solutions are the problems. The leaders will make statements of the solutions and hatches the problems to thwart their aims; now who is kidding whom!
