My initial commendation goes to the chief organizer of the event-Nana Kwame Ahima, whose tireless effort at using traditional African drumming and dancing to unite and uphold African values is unparalleled in the Nashville community.On several occasions and platforms,Kwame has been on hand to share his skills and expertise with the community.
Africa, as big as it is, with its intricately rich cultures and diversity, needs people with multifaceted approach in the celebration of its ideals and values, and one cannot deny the fact that Panafest Nashville,is a breath of fresh air in this regard.As the years go by,it is my hope and prayer that people of African origin whose paramount interest is geared towards the socio-economic and political growth of the continent,come together to support and embrace one another as we continue to celebrate and honor this beautiful motherland-Africa.
