I like the title, though. It is a big part of Ghana-Nigeria relations. A time will come when the pain it evokes in some people will fade. Time heals wounds, sometimes.

This is not a good title at all. Most of us were in Nigeria at that time when the order was given for all illegal aliens in Nigeria to leave Nigeria. It is a slogan which Nigerian were celeberating on when in the early 80s. The alien compliant orders was given to repatraite aliens from the then oil booming Nigeria somewhere in 1980/81. It was given to all the illegal aliens but the Nigerians coined up the phrase "GHANA MUST GO". To most Nigerians, this move by the Bohari Government of the early 80s meant cereberation. Earlier on somewhere in 1969, the newly first ever democratic elected prime minister of Ghana has ordered all illegal aliens in Ghana, Dr Busia signe an allien compliant order whic resulted in many illegal alliens packing out to leave Ghana. This was a harsh move for the Nigerians who were living illegally in Ghana. Let me take you back little child who is bringing back our past old days into our present day hardship under Mr. Ebedii bi K3k3' administration. Here is a little story.
The Nigerians living in Ghana at that time were also illegal immigrants who lived in Ghana some of who acquierd wealth including estate houses, storey buildings, and big shops across the cities in Ghana including those in Okashie in central Accra. They educated their children under the free education scheme of Kwame Nkruma. They eroded the Ghana economy to build in Nigeria. Those people were dirty. Even if their kids move their bowel while peddling/sellig their staff in the markets of Makola, the parents will wrap the stool in a rag and keep it in their staff instead of dumping the shit in the toilet. They do not want to miss the spot where they are crusing on the then Ghana pesewa. Most of them were the refugees from the Biafra war who were seeking refugee status in Ghana who has joined their brothers and sisters in the market place eroding the Ghana economy. Rememember that because Nkruma wanted to be the first president of the OAU and for that matter Africa as a whole, he did nothig about it. Even some people has it that Nkruma befrended Fela Ranson Anikpola Kuti's mother. Who knows how much Ghana's money was given to this woman who became very rich and powerful in Nigeria. She helped to raise OBASANJO who later became a milatary ruler and president of NIGERIA. Dr Busia's intention was to send the Nigerians back to Nigeria to assist in building the rising oil rich Nigeria when the Biafra war was over. The Nigerians took that as an offence. They forgot all the free education from the primary school level to the Teachers Training level. Even at the Teachers Training level, they were being paid.
Ghanaians also went to Nigeria because the milatary leader headed by Acheampong was messing up the economy. That was the begining of the FA WO TO BEGE GOLF era. The poor leadership of the milatary government led to the exodos of most Ghanaian intelectuals, down to even secondary school students as well as the middle school drop outs movedto in their numbers to Nigeria. None of them could even go to school in Nigeria. Other countries were migrated to Nigeria some of which were Indians, the Sira Lanka, Lebanese and the Syrians. Some of the Indians used FAKE CERTIFICATES to win big contracts such as road buildings, building of Abuja and many more. This led to shubby work and plundering of the Nigerian economy. While the poor Ghanainas were working on the cocoa farms, brick laying (Constro), ade3yie and teaching, the Indians, Lebanese, Syrians and the rest presented fake certificate to dupe the Nigerians. Consequently, when the Nigerians came to the reliazation that they were being duped by the foreigners, they issued the orders to repatriate the alliens. The Nigerians especially the Yurobas who lost ther hawking business ans so on whilst in Ghana coined the phrase "Ghana must go." Bring it on again and I will tell you about the Nigerian ECONOMY immediately after the Ghananian and the rest left. Long live mother Africa, short live Ghana Must Go, Dig......??????

It was a good lesson for Ghanaians. The Aliens compliance order of the Busia regime was aimed at Nigerians, they were deliberate target, most of them were born in Ghana and new no other country. That same selfishness in the inane Ashanti/Akyem soul, continues to fester to the detriment of mother Ghana today. Remarkably good fellow citizens are considered not good material and incompetent by the same invidious bunch of xenophobic trolls of the Busia era. Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Gambia and Ghana were all considered sister colonies in the British Commonwealth and coexisted harmoniously until the evil sectarian ashante misanthrope, which was marginally socialized and bestial, would be used to undermine every intelligent argument of the Barbaric treatment of fellow Africans of Ghana's darkest era. Karmic restitution served its purpose, and Nigeria knew some Ghanaians the Kwakus' definitely had to go.
