At current exchange rates, we could be looking at anywhere between 48-55K dollars a month. That is interesting and they wanted it to go to 4 million cedis+benefits and entitlements, which puts it at say 350,000 cedis and anywhere between 78-85k dollars a month.
So if the directors are looking at a 60% increment what percentage do they have in mind for the others?

Seth Nyarko, you need to educate yourself well about things you don't understand before you comment.
First, it is the Directors of GCB who were previously paid GCH 2.5 million now asking for GHC 4 million so how is that under the watch of president Nana Akuffo Addo who only took office in January.
Secondly,in case you do not understand, GCB is a publicly quoted company therefore Directors could in theory pay their Executives whatever annual salaries they choose, it's up to their shareholders to approve or disapprove.
Cocoa board on the other hand has no shareholders. The CEO and its board of directors are appointed by the government of the day. The CEO and the directors can only be sacked by the president weather they perform or not. It is therefore criminal for the CEO of Cocoa Board
to be paid that huge sums of money whiles the hardworking farmers wallop in abject poverty.
It is also plain silly on your part to compare the operational sizes of the two institutions. it it like comparing apples to cassava. Can you in all honesty tell Ghanaians the value added the cocoa board CEO has achieved ? We still export cocoa beans overseas, every year they still go and borrow money before they can even purchase their cocoa. In fact the CEO of cocoa board can be anyone with a heard over his/ her body so it's criminally insane for him to be the highest paid executive when there is no means of measuring his performance.
So now you should understand why the press has every right to crucify a government crony being the highest paid executive in state institution
