Political parties tend to reward communities they like and ignore others. This is usually based on ethnicity or votes garnered. In communities that voted against them they lookout for people of certain ethnic groups and award scholarships to them as well as providing them with monthly stipends.
Some communities have had this problem since Independence. A certain phenomenon can now be observed in our society.

I have had extremely bitter experiences being born by a cocoa farmer 70 years ago.
I remember in 1956 , at age of 12yrs. when my dad, had to escape for his life during CPP and UP tensions in Kumasi.
Because my dad was one of the Founding Members of the entire Ashanti Region.
During school holidays, without any road access, we had to walk on bare foot , over 4 miles to my dad's village . From 1956 to 1963, dad could not meet the cost of our basic education, let alone , secondary college tuition fees. Yet I struggled educating myself in the UK.
Please help our farmers, by providing Nursery Education for their children , good roads, better drinking sources, human waste facilities above all easier access to portable village Clinics and transport means to Regional Hospitals.
