Yes, it is time Ghanaians wake up to the realities of the negative impart import of rice and other commodities which can locally be produced can do to our nation's economy.
It should not be an issue of talks and accusation or blame game, that the so called politicians without class could use to make noise without all of them realizing the real negative impart the import of rice is doing to our economy.
There is a need for national policy of real and serious restriction over the importation of certain commodities like rice for instance to help curb our million of dollars use in the importation of rice. This should be the task of all the politicians who think it is their right to rule Ghana. All we need is to give them the needed support to make things work out good.
Ghana has reached a stage where blame game should not be the issue anymore, but rather coming together should be the core of our national policy like the Chinese who have made use of that policy to their advantage.
Today China leads the world in many areas of development. Our governments of the day should find the possibilty of helping our rice farmers in a way that their produced rice can be made a perfume brand since that is what the consumers love to eat.
Today with technology all things are possible if only the interest is there. Wake up Ghanaians from sleep and use your abundant God given strengh and knowledge to move our nation forward through love and not hate politics.

What is the government waiting for? It should ban the importstion of rice altogether. Those who cannot eat the local rice can go and live in Togo or the Ivory Coast.
