The Fisheries Minister should not act like a fisherman.We want to see proper Technical and Administrative operations.What is the current volume of fish stock in our waters?If you want the fishermen to stop using unofficial method in catching fish,what is the best technical practice then?How far have you trained the fishermen for orientation?Do fishermen enjoy pension and social security schemes?I wish I could do more for them,they are my people.Thank you.

premix fuel is simply regular fuel mixed with a fuel stabilizer so it can run 2-stroke engines without causing misfires. The stabilizer is sold in a very small bottle and costs less than half a gallon of regular petrol, per container. I buy it all the time for my lawn mower and snow blower. A small bottle of fuel stabilizer the size of a can of soda can treat about 60 gallons of petrol.
why is this a political instrument? why does the government have to provide this? why can't fishermen buy this themselves and mix in a can and fuel their own marine engines?

2 oz of brigs & stratton or weed eater brand is bigger price $1....its also oil> 2 cycle engines are not oiled at crankshaft like car/truck or lawn mower...2 cycle(chainsaw) must have oil mixed into petro!

Premix is not sold in USA and unheard of!!!! Depending our your machines requirements these are the ratio listed on 2 cycle oil bottle...50:1= 2.6 oz of oil to 1 gal( 4 liters).....40:1= 3.2 oz of oil...32:1= 4 oz of oil and ... read full comment

Now listen,we don't have only canoe fishermen in the country as you would like us to believe.We do have fishermen who are using boats that use inboard marine engines.These big boats don't use premix petrol but gas oil for their diesel engines.Why do your Ministry subsidize premix for canoe fishermen and does nothing for the fishermen in wooden boats?Why do you always credit outboard motors to the canoe fishermen and do nothing for the wooden boat fishermen,are they not Ghanaians?In reality,the Fishing Harbour in Tema and Sekondi are occupied by only wooden boats.They are the ones winning all the the Best Fisherman Awards since 2003 but I have never since any Minister engaging these wooden boat fishermen in any discussion.Why?I think it's not fair.Thank you.

its called off road fuel for farmers in USA because the are not charged road fuel tax! should work for deisel powered boats....marine supply should not be charging road use tax!!
