band of bandits, rooted in a scheme of "create , loot and share. And nothing happens because for the 30yrs that P/NDC has been at the helm, the security forces and the judicairy became political wings of the NDC. They are not arrested or prosecuted despite the rut that they create. Today, they have almost bankrupt the country. And that is typical NDC.

Have you forgotten that you NPP supporters chalked the construction of this dam to the "achievements" of Kuffour? So why do you blame the NDC if it's not working now? For all you knew, it was constructed by shady contractors with shoddy materials just like all the major roads constructed by Kuffour but which are now "unmotorable" because he and his cronies pocketed the bulk of the money earmarked for the projects.

Yes when Rawlings built the road from Accra to Kumasi by ABU contractors, we all saw what happened. The road did not last one year. what do you have to say about that.

What a hell is going on in Ghana? The Dams, Thermal plants, VRA, WAGP, the Grids and the GEC - all down and not doing what they are supposed to do. Where are our PhD engineers doing?

It is very facinating that VRA has been a harbinger of bad news with regard to Ghana energy efforts. Yes, reality must be faced but it is also encumbent on VRA to display corporate responsibility and professinalism in their attitude and information disseminated to the public. If what this VRA guy is saying is what he said, he is really an IDIOT for not elaborating his points. He frequently make news with information that sends the country into panic and at best makes VRA look SILLY despite its abundance of good professionals.
It appears he is a sobotuer, no pun intended. And have nothing personally against him. I do not know kim.
VRA please publicly! come out with current energy audit of Ghana power system and convince your people about reality.

Need we be concerned about the quality of its Construction? Or, what?
Such is the reason why 60 years plus after Independence, we should have amply nurtured, trained and deployed our own Citizen Engineers to build us such projects. We cannot forever depend on foreign Technological Experts to build our Infrastructure for us without headaches.
It is also about time that when we contract Loan facilities for our Projects, we should have the freedom to choose the best Companies possible needed to construct the Project, and not be restricted to hire some low quality Companies from the Country where the Loan originated.
In this modern day that Computers are a large part of most Construction Projects, if we do not have control of the blueprint of any vital Project, we would even be putting our Nation's security at risk. The Projects built entirely by Foreign Engineers could always be at the mercy of the Foreigners Technical Experts.
If we 'dis' any such Nation that might have provided us the money and Engineers to build a project, all it might take to cripple the project could be a remote control of a little software buried within the System.
It might not be so with the Bui Dam or any such Project preceding it. But given the likelihood of Cyber-wars among Nations in our near future, we must prepare ourselves.
Besides, it could be much easier for us to fix our Projects designed locally by our own Engineers than those designed outside. Our Education curriculi must be geared towards preparing our young to fully take charge of our Industrial and Infrastural growth.
Long Live Ghana!!!

I concord with these sentiments.
We must learn to do things for ourselves rather than rely on foreigners.
We should exploit our abundant natural resources ourselves for the benefit of all our people.
