The Bank of Ghana (BOG) has no Eastern Regional headoffice. The BOG must ask for land from the King of Akyem (Okyehene) to construct this building. I don´t believe that the BOG has accurate data of the economic activity in the at least 12 Akyem districts which make up more than half the population on the region. The GDP and GNI of these Akyem districts are very high. They stem from:
Gold mining
Diamond mining
Cocoa
Oil Palm (the largest in West Africa)
Timber
Software development
etc
The money supply and capital in the at least 12 Akyem districts are wholly inadequate. BOG must remove impediments to the setting up of rural banks in these districts and encourage ADB and GCB to open branches in these districts.
The government must further ensure that wholly owned Ghanaian banks, including rural banks, get at least 80% of the banking revenue.

People in the USA, EUROPE, RUSSIA ARE FIGHTING AGAINST this GMO idea, so why can’t we just a little country (nation) like Ghana. What we NEED IN GHANA is TO PRODUCE HEALTHY ORGANIC PRODUCE.
3. Do we have researchers and what do they use to make that research? Ebola is knocking at our door, this is what we need to research into, this is of more importance, than this GMO nonsense. Yes, if we accept this GMO nonsense and we will reap the rewards in ten or fifteen years to come.
Are Our leaders are useless. At times, I question if our leaders really think like real humans
4. Have you done any research yet? Are you aware of the countries which have outright rejected it? Do you know why it was rejected? Are you currently being sponsored by any agri-business company? Have you ever wondered about the marked increase in cancers and other diseases? Do you plan on re-inventing the wheel in this research or will you take an objective thorough look at the existing work that has been done in this area? In our quest to feed the planet, let's be sure of what we are eating!!
4. THIS IS MY TAKE, some very Important things to know about GMO!
We do not need this, We don’t even had to waste our limited cash, to do any research, meetings and any parliamentary debate on this nonsense for what is bad is bad. How can we interfere, with the DNA of any plat? A we God? Why don’t we just eat what God has given us, a list we are lucky enough to live in a tropical world. Is it because of our share laziness that is plugging us into these crazy GMO ideas? Oh Ghana. Why do we think God for over a million years located us on this free gift of nature? (Land) please let us our knowledge and build on our traditional way of farming and fishing, for we shall prevail. Our great, great ancestors (forefathers) did it so why do we feel we can’t? Why is the need to involve the devils idea, into our feeding and eating habits?
This GMO would come to kill us all even though it would enhance more food yet it will make us sick, give us more cancer, guess what and who would give us the medications: those who brought it in. Guess what who would sell to us the seeds to plant, when we endorse it; exactly those who introduce it.
Now ask you self this final question; are all these things going to be cheap like we think NO! NO!!, and this will begin our great dependent on these same people.
Why than do we even go there?
