Unfortunately, Sam Jonah used Kuffour to complete his diabolical and wicked plan to destroy the mine before he dies. He has acquired everything he wants at the expense of the Adansis and Ghana, and successfully destroyed the mine. He has been a curse for the people of Adansi. He will eventually die and he cannot live to eternally as death is inevitable. Greed, treachery and selfishness with leaders of the various institution thinking of their stomach more than others has brought all these. The workers might think getting the huge sums of money is everything but they go and ask "Colonbo" and many other past redundant staff if the package was enough. Being at job is better than what they perceive. It is very unfortunate but we should start calling spade a spade and let people know who did what for this calamity befalling on the people. If the company has admitted their wrongdoing, what are they doing to safeguard and survival of our town? Sam Jonah and his Kuffour will continue to be blamed for the destruction of our Obuasi for us.

Ghanaians just talk but allow foreign companies to take us for a ride.The indians developed the deep copper reserves of Zambia with new shafts what about the Obuasi deeps. a white elephant.rather malaria programmes rather being marketed by the company .We know malaria more than the south Afrticans but we buy such programs instead of ensuring the main purpose of business of mining is taken care of.

Ask ex-president Kuffour whether the explanation he gave in 2003 before accepting to hand over AGC to Anglo did matter.Kuffour stated reasons were that "Anglo were experienced in deep mining which they in for and that Anglo for 5 yrs running had always paid devidend to share holders". These were the motivation that compelled Kuffour to refuse the $1.7billion Randgold offer for AGC and and accepted the $1.1 billion Anglo.Aside of the $6oo million difference lost from the sale of AGC, the nation is now experiencing absolute loss interms of national asset.I am glad that Kuffour is alive to witness all these things.Close to 15yrs where in Ashanti has Anglo done deep mining? but Randgold is in good business in Burkina Faso. Posterity will always judge all of us one day for the decisions we take.
