Ghana is surrounded by landlocked countries, yet we never take advantage of all this and still depend on cocoa. We have the Volta lake that stretches all the way to Burkina Faso. Why can't Ghanaians be a little innovative? Cote D'voire will come out of war and retake all our businesses because our leaders are brain dead! By expanding our harbor and having qualified non corrupt custom officials, we can create jobs easily. Through shipping, we can generate a whole new industry around it, like insurance, rail and sea transportation, banking etc. All we still think about after all these years is Akomfem! We can't even enforce our existing laws. FDA, GSA and EPA officials are just interested in allowances and endless useless meetings. Who is protecting the Ghanaian from the food we eat, the water we drink, the medicine we take and the hotels we sleep.

It is true that Ghana is totally surrounded by landlocked countries, that we could have cashed in,BIG TIME,but they fail to take any advantage that it offers.
DO THEY RECOGNIZE AN OPPORTUNITY WHEN IT STRIKES?
Foreigners are making it at the expense of ignorant Ghanaian leaders, period.
THEY ARE WAITING TO PARTNER WITH SOMEONE FROM ABROAD,BEFORE STARTING AN INLAND PORT BUILDING OPERATION.
So if someone does not hold the hands of our leaders,in one business or the other, nothing concrete happens.
THAT IS SO SAD.
TOGO has expanded their sea port to syphon a percentage of our sea business, but GHANA IS STILL CRAWLING ON HER KNEES ON OUR'S.
THERE IS NO JOB CREATING ACUMEN IN THE BRAINS OF OUR LEADERS,BUT UNNECESSARY LONG SPEECHES ALONE.
It's so sad that,it makes life very hard for our young up and coming work force.
