Arrival in Ghana via plane: You are wellcomed by Customs officers with the words: "..what did you bring for me?"
Than you bord a Taxi: A unesseccary roundtrip is garanteed and you will definately be cheated with the fair!
After arriving at your hotel: You meet staff sleeping in unusual large numbers. you don`t get what you ordered for and room plliances or at least water doesen`t work. ( not to mention frewuent light-offs and Generator nois!
Anyway, next day you will brobably visit the beach: You will find black poliethylen bags with well known content in the water around you. You will see locals difficating in the sea (it`s probably "tradition"!?
All prices tousists pay on local markets are overprized (a ghanaian form of rassisn. Tourists are seen a milking cows.
Harrasment by people who wan`ts to be your friend ("by force" ) is common.
Gererally ghna is known for low hygenic standards, filthy towns, smelly markets, and scams.
I suggest Ghana should abstain from Tourism. Ghana is not ready for this kind of industrie. Compared to Asian Countries, such as Vietnam, Malaysia or the Philipines, Ghana is in a learners state. Most Tourists I know are disappointed after a trip to Ghana! SORRY!
