It is unbelieved that Ghana's private sector always resorts to inviting government to arbitarily regulate commerce and industry in preference to resort to the law and courts to protect their rights. If the textiles designs are IP rights why not take the importers to court. The truth is that most of these so-called IP rigts are unregistered and cannot be protected, so they hide behind a trigger happy populist government desperate to please to carry out illegal raids of traders who have not voilated any law. You cannot insist on rights you are neither ready or able to protect, Nana Afari. This is the basic principle of law - please ome to equity with clean hands and lets stop this trend of the powerful local business interest using to power of the state to regulate competition the benefits Ghanaian consumers.

100 percent inspection has totally collapsed the relatively efficient risk management systems built over the years to support easy facilitation of trade and clearance of goods at the ports. The reason why the GCNet and Destination Inspections Scheme's were launched and hear the head of AGI advocating for it,instead of fighting against it. The AGI President obviously cannot connect the dots, to see why our trade figures are in rapid decline, imports, exports and manufacturing all at the same time. They depend on effciently run customs and port services, which depend on risk management, classification and valuation that level the playing field. Shame on AGI again
