TRUST ME HIS EXCELLENCY J.D. MAHAMA HAS THAT VISION YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. THE PROBLEM IS THE NPP ARE SCARED OF THAT AND ARE MOVING HEAVEN AND EARTH SO HE DOES NOT SURVIVE, EITHER POLITICALLY OF PHYSICALLY. JM IS GOING TO CHANGE THE FACE OF GHANA FOR SURE. THE PROBLEMS FACING GHANA IN THE FORM OF ENERGY, HEALTH, WATER ETC ARE ALL AS A RESULT OF SABOGAGES CAUSED BY THE PAID NPP WORKERS EMPLOYED AND SPONSORED BY THE NPP IN THESE SECTORS JUST TO ENSURE NOTHING WORKS. GHANAIANS ARE WIDE AWAKE. STRANGELY ENOUGH ANY TIME THERE IS POWER OFF, OR WATER SHORTAGE, MOST GHANAIANS RATHER BECOME ANGRY WITH THE NPP AND NOT THE NDC.

The way we were dishing out money in the name of fraudulent judgement debt payments, it is not surprising we had to borrow GHC4billion. In spite of the noise made about oil, it brought in $3b. This is less than remittances from Ghanaians abroad. Maybe, we need to pay more attention Ghanaians abroad than the oil.

Well, we met the enemy and happens to be ourselves, Ghana people and the people is the government.
Quote from BoG acting,"According to the BoG, the escalation of the deficit was due to factors including excess spending on wages and energy subsidies, high interest rates and a shortfall in revenues - mainly corporate tax receipts."
The main issues are "shortfall in revenues - mainly corporate tax receipts" I do not know how the foolish politicians and the corrupt government institutions can provide progress when corporate and individual taxes are notbeen collected to provide for the completion of over 100 unfinished roads, poor schools, very bad waste and disposal management. I can go on and on . I guess Ghana is waiting for the 'White man to come and tell us what to do.
Shame on all .....

There are so many questions than answers in the report posted on the economy. There are a lot of inconsistancy in this report.
(1) I was shock to notices that BoG did not mention bonds that the administration bought or sold to raise money.
(2)Who did sending on wages of GHc1.9billion rise to GHC7.5billion while there was no hiring of Government workers, wages frozen on workers, some haven gotten salaries for over a year, and not a single contract awarded so how did wages GHc 1.9billion rise to GHc7.5billion with all factors above?
(3) when did Government borrow GHc4billion to support the economy. Was parliament aware of the GHc 4billion,was it debated in parliament or is the decision of BoG to borrow GHc4billion to support the economy without the knowledge of parliament?
(4)There is a conflicting report on subsidies by both BoG and NPA.BoG said excess spending on feul and utilities subsidies add GHc339million to the deficit, the BoG said.So why is NPA telling Ghanaians that fuel subsidy alone cost Government GHc1.5billion each year from 2008 to 2012 while BoG said fuel and utilities subsidies cost GHc339million so why the huge defference in contradictions?
(5)How did corporate tax receipt affect deficit?
Mills /Mahama /Amissah administration did Ghana harm than good.No progress, payment fake judgement debts, destroying our currency to please WB & IMF and donor countries. We need explanations to the inconsistances in the report.

THEY HAVE RULED GHANA FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS, YET MAJORITY OF GHANAIANS ARE STILL WALLOWING IN ABJECT POVERTY. THE PARTY (NDC) AND THEIR VETERAN LEADER STARTED IN THE I980s WITH VISIONARY AND PATRIOTIC LEADERS LIKE DR. MAHATHIR MOHAMED OF MALAYSIA AND LEE QUAN YEW OF SINGAPORE...AND NOW WHERE IS GHANA? STILL GOING AROUND BEGGING FROM DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS TO FINANCE 70% OF OUR BUDGET. HOW? THEY ARE GOOD AT MISUSING OUR FUNDS. JUST BY SINGING PRAISES EITHER TO THE PARTY OR TO THE LEADERSHIP, YOUR 4X4 IS ASSURED. THAT IS EXACTLY HOW MY BEAUTIFUL GIRLFRIEND GOT HER 4X4 EVEN THOUGH SHE IS NOT AN NDC MEMBER.

It is strange how blacks run their economies and governments. I wonder if the government thinks giving Single Spine Salary will solve the people's economic woes. Unless they never read Oliver Twist and sociology books, then they will believe giving public servants a lot of money will satisfy them. Even if they are taking GHC1million a week, they will still ask for more. Ironically, there is no appreciation of productivity in their performance. What a waste?
