The attitude of our useless university graduates in authority makes me believe the independence of Ghana is becoming meaningless. When did this Ahwoi realize we need to patronize our local products. We are in this country when the good for nothing National Accreditation Board(NAB) is saying the HND cert is a toilet paper and that HND holders are not qualified to go to the universities. Today a UK university, Coventry University, is saying yes they can by offering MSc to our polytechnic graduates for 5000pounds. This is something our own universities could offer for just below 1000pounds and help our people save the remaining 4000pounds for meaningful development. This would have been another brilliant way of saving hard earned foreign currency for other important needs but the NAB and the other useless universities say nay it is impossible but the Brits are saying yeah HND holders can acquire post graduate degrees. The Brits have done this by offering full postgraduate scholarships to our HND holders(visit www.britishcouncil.org). This lack of wisdom and empty pride being exhibited by our useless university graduates in authority is a clear indication that the blackman and for that matter the Ghanaian is not capable of managing his/her own affairs successfully for the benefit of their people.

As agriculture secretary my advise is to ensure that you put in place policies that promotes good quality of products offered for sale. I will give you an example: Yams sent abroad for sale - this is a perishable therefore one expects that only HIGH QUALITY YAMS: tubers with no cuts, incisions, holes etc are packaged, but you see these defects in yams exported overseas that affects the final product when purchased. Does this encourage buyers of our exported yams in bulk? No, it does't.

The problem is not about patronize, its about maintaining the neatness and decency of these our local restaurants or chop bars. I recently entertained some foreign visitors who wanted to taste our good Ghana food, especially fufu. I was appalled by what i saw in some of these local restaurants we visited. On one occasion i saw a mouse looking for food right in the middle of this chop bar. How come we are always making lots of noise about opening this restaurants or that chop bar, yet fail to maintain standards like controlling pest in these areas. Does Ghana have a policy of monitoring our food industry? What is the Ghana EPA doing to ensure that the food we eat is safe or do we need to BRIBE our officials at the Ghana EPA to send inspectors around to ensure that these eating places are safe!
