The Ministry of Sports and Ghana football Association take Ghanaians for fools or else the spokesman for GFA would not have said this;
The budget details for the Black Stars participation at the 2014 World Cup is a state secret, according to Ibrahim Sannie Daara.
“As we speak now those figures speculated in the media have got no legs to stand on,” Sannie said in a debate on the state-owned Ghana Television. “I’d say with no equivocation that as I sit here as Director of Communications of the GFA, I’ve not seen the breakdown. The Chief of Staff has said that this is a state secret and if someone brings it and if I am not able to authenticate it, I will say that person s carrying a false document.
Really? The budget of Blackstars expenses is a state secret? Why am I surprised, it is a secret because Ghanaians are being taken to the cleaners by GFA and the Ministry of Sports who have colluded to steal the country dry.
It was reported about a month ago that the government of Ghana has given the GFA and Sports Ministry about $10 million for the world cup tournament. According to the Minister of Information, this $10 million was approved by the government. A few days later, the information minister released another report clarifying that the about $10 million was going to be given to the sports authorities not as a loan, but as a free offer to the sports authorities. If the said amount is not a loan, then that means Blackstars already have $19.5 million to play with. Folks, even if the Blackstars lose all its three group matches, the minimum it has earned so far as a qualifying team is $9.5 million, $8.0 million given to all the 32 teams plus $1.5 million as preparation expenses, this is not even counting the appearance fees FIFA give to the teams for their friendly matches. That means we earned a certain amount of fees on our last friendly match with Montenegro, that could be as low as $100,000 or as much as $1.0 million. We are going to earn more money on our subsequent friendly matches coming up including the one with Holland that can put one million dollars more in Blackstars account, these are some of the information our Sports Authourities are not telling Ghanaians.
It is because of these appearance fees that we don't see the Blackstars playing their friendly matches in Ghana because if they play in USA or the European countries, they earn higher appearance fees.
About a week after the government reported the $10 million gift to the sports authorities, it was reported in the media that the GFA (and by extension, the Ministry of Sports) was given about $15 million ($1 million for preparation and $14 million for reaching the last eight) by FIFA and $19 million by the government of Ghana for the 2010 world cup. This made a total of $34 million given to the GFA and Sports Ministry for the 2010 world cup not counting the appearance fees we earned from friendly matches played and that is why ESPN and The Guardian newspapers reported that, Blackstars earned $18.0 million and not the $11.0 million as reported by the GFA and the Sports Ministry who have failed to respond about this confusion .
But with all the news and arguments concerning the finances of the 2010 world cup, one would think that the current Ghana government will be looking more critically at the 2014 world cup expenditures and other financial transactions. Contrary to normal reasoning, the government astonishingly decided to give the sports authorities $9.6 million without any accountability for the 2014 world cup. The GFA and Sports Ministry are yet to make public why they need the $9.6 million; let's bear in mind that all tournament expenses are footed by FIFA for a contingent of up to fifty for the participating nations. This is excluding the prize monies.
So the question is, why did the government of Ghana feel the need to give the sports authorities this free money? This question keeps coming up, because Ghana, currently, is facing serious economic crisis. The hospitals lack basic needs, let alone critical systems. Electricity and water are lacking. A large portion of pupils attend school under trees. There are financial problems everywhere. Yet, the government felt the need to give about $10 million, unaccounted for, to the sports authorities who do not need this money. I repeat, this $10 million is not needed by the sports authorities. But can you blame the sports authorities?
It is hard to blame them; they are not expected to be angels. The government, which is the executive branch, does not seem to have asked the necessary questions; this is the best you can ascribe to the government. The legislature is too busy about nothing and hurriedly approved what was presented to them. The populace is numb with persistent unresponsive authorities and agencies. Almost the entire nation of Ghana seem to be in a slumber. A few who can muster the courage to be alert seize the opportunity to exploit the apathy and despair of the entire nation.
How then do you address this blatant financial plunder by the sports authorities. Is it folly to want to get things right where there is numbly blissful ignorance and apathy? In a society where everyone is looking for a chance to cun another person, can you blame the sports authorities for taking advantage of what every Ghanaian would like to take advantage of? Well, the truth is that the nation of Ghana will run herself into utter destruction if this tide of criminality is not stemmed. What needs be done is to put pressure on the government and the members of parliament to stop the corrupt activities. These are the only ways and means to save Ghana.

I am really disappointed in the Oman Ghana program under the Host of Nana Frimpong that emanates from London with its serial callers who are doing a lot of disservice to Nana Akuffo Addo and his vastitude of love for humankind.
I wrote a friendly article advising these Nana Akuffo Addo supporters who meant well but their approach of insulting people who don't agree with Nana or are perceived not to be in Nana's camp to tone their language down
Nana Akyaa, one of these serial callers who have a penchant of insulting Asantehene called into the program again on Monday, 7/28/2014 and as usual resorted to excoriating me with a challenge to face her. She also said that she has done her search and there is nobody called Cardinal Sarpong. Nana Akyaa, the name is not Cardinal Sarpong but Justice Sarpong. Cardinal is a hypocorism. As a matter of fact, I don't think this Nana Akyaa even read my article because nowhere in my article did I say she is not an Asante but an Ewe. Nana Akyaa, I said in that article that, you might not be an Asante because I don't think any Asante woman will talk down to Otumfuo as you did, nowhere did I assign any tribe to you. With all due respect, go back and read that article assuming you did not read it the first time. I don't stand to gain anything debating you and don't intend doing so especially when I had a sister who was called Ama Akyaa, may her soul rest in peace.
Politics is a game of numbers, I mean addition of numbers and not subtracting numbers and though you all serial callers to the program mean well, your militant attitude is not helping Nana to add new converts to his side which he needs to win the general elections in 2016. I know almost nobody who calls himself or herself as Npp supporter will cross carpet and vote for Ndc but what this blatant bigotry comments from people like Kyeremeh, Kwame etc and others will do is that, most Asante traditionalists who value the chieftancy institution will not go to the polls and vote at all because of this blatant hate against Asantehene. It is sad when somebody can publicly say that "NA WONO ASANTEHENE NO WOYE HWAN" and the Host of this program allows him to continue such sophomoric juvenilistic vituperations without cutting his line off. How can any human being talk like this Kyeremeh guy who I think is in Spain ranting about killing or knifing people? There is no catholicon for such unguided comments.
The new charge coming from these people who seem to have too much time on their hands is that, Asantehene flew to South Africa in the Presidential plane, SO WHAT? The plane belongs to the people of Ghana and I bet a lot of NPP stalwarts might have flown on this plane before, did that make them Ndc supporters? Not only that, now Nana Akyaa is accusing Asantehene for saying the problems we had in Ghana was caused by the implementation of the SSSS policy when Asantehene was giving a speech at (GIMPA) actually the said speech was delivered at UPS and not GIMPA.

Ghana In Crisis –Otumfuo Indicts Mahama
High Utility Tariff
The Asantehene said 'recent high energy tariff has brought the country face to face with the prospect of a general strike. My interactions with captains of business and industry have revealed substantial disquiet about the effect of energy cost and on the cost of doing business in Ghana and a potential hindrance to job creation.'He said that beyond energy, 'there are seemingly intractable problems around education, healthcare delivery, not to talk about the infrastructural overhang from uncompleted projects. He conceded that although every nation goes through periods of turbulence, 'it is how institutions of state manoeuvre through this turbulence that marks the difference between the stable and firmly rounded state and an unstable state.'We continue to believe that we have laid the foundation for a stable democratic state. We therefore hope that our institutions of state will rise up to the challenge to manoeuvre the ship of state through these storms. To do this, they must listen to the pain and anguish of the people they are paid to serve.Let creative minds step up the plate and find a compromise and not wait till we move from crisis to natural disaster.'
Single Spine
The Asantehene said that stakeholders' intention of establishing the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) had been good but its implementation 'has been fraught with problems. He said that the policy represents an enhancement of public sector emoluments. However, 'handling of conversion differences, premiums and various categories of allowances have led to industrial unrest and threat of strikes.'Before we embarked upon a scheme of this kind, we should have calculated the possible effects of our ability to service our debt. Is it any wonder that global rating agency should be downgrading Ghana?'
SO I ASK NANA AKYAA and her marauding serial callers to tell me where Asantehene praised Mahama in this Speech.

A subject that I thought had been put to rest was on Wednesday August 6th was resurrected again by the host of the Oman Ghana morning program from London, a guy by name, Nana Frimpong. The same lady who had been my bugbear, Nana Akyaa called into the program and before she can regurgle what she has for the day, the Host asked her if she saw my last article published on Ghanaweb. I don't want to bore readers with the taradiddle this Host who seems to be out of his element hosting this program said people tore unto me on that article but when Nana Akyaa asked him what I wrote, Nana Frimpong couldn't even tell. What I got from the banter between the two is that, they are not well read and are averse to reading . I don't know if averse is mot juste and I have to be lambent here.
I am really disappointed in the Oman Ghana program under the Host of Nana Frimpong that emanates from London with its serial callers who are doing a lot of disservice to Nana Akuffo Addo and his vastitude of love for humankind.
I wrote a friendly article advising these Nana Akuffo Addo supporters who meant well but their approach of insulting people who don't agree with Nana or are perceived not to be in Nana's camp to tone their language down
This Radio program is not doing any good to Nana Akuffo Addo Presidential ambition. Instead of it building a bridge to a town called UNITY amongst the Npp Presidential candidates, it is rather building a bridge to a town called DIVISION with its castigation of other Npp Presidential candidates especially that of Alan Kyerematten. Nana Akuffo Addo cannot win the Presidency without Alan Kyerematten supporters so these people should shelf the slogan, NO NANA, NO VOTE(NNNV) What if Alan supporters also sit out in 2016 with their own, NO ALAN, NO VOTE(NANV)?
The Host has no business hosting any program because he is too emotional, limited understanding of the political topics and fails to nail the few Ndc operatives he calls to ask questions about. For example, one Ndc operative bragged on his program about how Ndc increased the growth rate to 14%. Even a neophyte on Economics knows Ndc did not do anything special to increase the three or four years of economic growth between 2011 to 2013 but it was rather the coming into stream of the oil resources that spurred the economic growth during this period and the Host couldn't even nail the Ndc guy.
Even yesterday the Host showed his lack of knowledge of Ghana politics when he asked, Atta Kruffi, the former Npp Chairman of the London branch if the Council of state was there when Npp was in power or it was Ndc who created it? He didn't even know this Council of state is a constitutional creation.
Nana Akyaa, one of these serial callers who have a penchant of insulting Asantehene called into the program again on Monday, 7/28/2014 and as usual resorted to excoriating me with a challenge to face her. I have had my battles with Okatakyie Opoku Agyemang about his GAKE activities at the Npp forum where insulting words were exchanged between Okatakyie and myself and we were suspended from participating in the discourse at that forum for two weeks so nobody should question my support for Nana Akuffo Addo. We need unity and all the votes from all the seven contesting Presidential candidates for Nana Akuffo Addo to win in 2016 and that is my mission which two of the callers to this program, Nana Bonsu, an Alan Kyerematten supporter and the lady they call NKOSUOHEMAA a Nana Akuffo Addo supporter, a Northerner who I understand calls Kintampo her home and residing in Kazakstan seems to be aware of. If the rest of the callers can emulate the wisdom from these two people, Npp will be in a great shape.

"Tony Lithur, a private legal practitioner who represented Calf Cocoa International Ghana Limited in a suit between the firm and the Ghana government, yesterday, confirmed to the Commission of Enquiry investigating the payment of judgment debts that he secured $4,150,127.50 for his client. He said Carridem, an investment wing of the 31st December Women’s Movement (DWM), owned 45 percent and Calf Cocoa International Ghana Limited had 55 percent,"
Who owns Caridem and 31st December women's movement? J.J Rawlings and his wife. Who got the judgement debt check? J.J Rawlings and his wife.
Justice Apau the sole Commissioner investigating the Judgement debts invited Anthony Lithur to delve into how the government was made to pay a debt of close to five million dollars to Rawlings controlled company but the ownership of this company did not come up. The usual soft ball questions were thrown at Anthony Lithur to give him a chance to blame Kuffour and the Npp government. So who owns this Calf Cocoa International Ghana limited? Your guess is as good as mine, the company is owned by Rawlings and his wife using the 31st December Women's as a façade.
A couple of weeks ago, Rawlings has the audacity to accuse Kuffour of being corrupt. Why is Lithur and Justice Apau dancing around the ownership of the Calf Cocoa International company?
This is another fraudulent 31st December Movement company owned by Rawlings and his wife who used Ghana securities to acquire this property and billed Ghana to pay for it. Whilst they reap the financial bonanza of this company, the Taxpayers are left to pay for the Emir like lifestyle of the Rawlings family.
Why was the Judgement issued in the name of Rawlings and Calf and not Calf and the China partners, because there is no China partners. The name exist on paper only. The company is owned solely by Rawlings and his wife.
A couple of weeks ago, "Saint Rawlings" in his usual pious sermonizations accused the Kuffour administration of being the most corrupted government since independence while absolving himself as the most virtuous but the evidence on the ground proves otherwise.
During a radio discussion on April 10, 2010, A Contributor on Radio Gold’s Alhaji and Alhaji programme claimed that the former first couple had taken $5million from the government but failed to employ people in their factory. The Rawlingses's immediately issued this statement;
"The former First Couple wish to state clearly that they own no factory and have taken no money from the Mills Administration for any venture be it business or otherwise. They are also not surprised by the uncanny silence of the Mills Administration, which is alleged to have made that payment and know in no uncertain terms that elements within government are behind this calculated smear campaign using pawns within the media."
According to this Bonnie and Clyde couple,Mrs. Rawlings is linked to Caridem Development Company Limited, a shareholder in Calf Cocoa International Ghana Limited. She has no personal stake in either Caridem or Calf Cocoa. It is rather the 31st December Women’s Movement, which owns Caridem. Caridem has 45 per cent stake in Calf Cocoa. Folks, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, the bel-espirit of the Rawlingses's marriage used that modus operandi to steal Nsawawam Ghanacan and this is how they stole the Star Hotel in Accra, all the properties of GNTC in Accra including warehouses and 543 acres of land. So who does the 31st December Women's account to? Is it a government agency, an NGO or what? The only people this movement accounts to with its finances and operations are the Rawlings family. Shirley Aryitey, the Minister of Health used to be one of the leaders of this movement but when she failed to support Konadu Agyemang Rawlings in her bid to wrestle the Ndc nomination for the Presidency, Mrs Rawlings threw her out of the 31st Women's Movement.
WHO OWNS CALF COCOA INTERNATIONAL?
According to Lawyer Anthony Lithur, the Government of China, through the export Import Bank (EXIM Bank) in October 1998 , agreed to give the Government of Ghana an interest-subsisided concessionary loan for the purpose of financing industrial projects in the country through joint ventures between Ghanaian and Chinese companies in identified areas of interest. If that is the case, then the loan agreement between Ghana’s government and EXIM bank through the government of China makes the government of Ghana solely responsible for the repayment of the loan or at worst, the guarantor of this loan on behalf of Konadu's Caridem Development Company Limited. The payment of this loan lies solely on the shoulders of Taxpayers of Ghana and not Konadu and his 31st December Movement or Caridem Development Company Limited whilst Konadu and her husband Rawlings reap the financial bonanza of this company. Yes, the 4.9 million dollars was not issued in Konadu or Rawlings name but as the owners of Calf Cocoa International, they are the ones who eventually will cash this cheque. Can the Rawlingses make public Calf Cocoa International loan agreement between their company and government so that we the people can know the details of the agreement relative to what the government was getting back as repayment amounts and duration of the loan.
Why should the Rawlingses be the ones to be suing the government of Ghana if the loan agreement was between the government of Ghana and the Exim Bank of China? We all know a company has rights as human beings when it comes to legal matters but a company is an inanimate object and that is why it has Board of Directors, CEO and other Officials to speak on its behalf or the theory of meliorism has to be applied here and that is why the Rawlingses's being the owners of Caridem took it upon themselves to sue. It is therefore a linguistic acrobatics or 'lexiconian' hypocrasyfor Rawlingses and his wife to deny that they did not receive close to five million dollars from President Mills administration.
In October 1998,the Leviathan Rawlings who has Ghana as his personal property and goaded by his wife used Ghana and entered into a contract with China government through Exim Bank of China to establish Calf Cocoa International to process raw cocoa into finished products with a loan of ten million dollars. One will therefore believe that, Ghana might be a partner of this company but rather Rawlings made his wife Caridem company, a private entity to be the beneficiary of the loans though the payment of this loan became the burden of Ghanaian Taxpayers. Before the whole loan can be disbursed, the ruling Ndc government lost power to Npp and when Osafo Marfo became the Finance Minister, he determined that Ghana should not be responsible for the payment of this loan whilst the beneficiary is Rawlings and his wife through the scam company, Caridem. He then refused to releasethe $1.8 million to benefit the Bonnie and Clyde couple when the government would be stuck for the payment and instead suggested to Calf Cocoa International with its Agents, Konadu Rawlings and her husband to enter into a sales contract with the Ghana Cocoa Marketing Board for the supply of the Cocoa beans. Calf Cocoa International wanted to stick Ghanaian Taxpayers so instead of buying the cocoa beans and paying for them later with proceeds from their sales but instead refused to budge and sued the government.
The questions we should be asking as patriotic citizens are
1. Who is paying the interest and principal on this over ten million dollar loan? Is it Ghana who signed for this loan or Rawlings controlled Caridem?
2. Is Calf Cocoa International at Kpone near Tema operational?
3.This company received the 4.9 million dollars judgement in 2009, almost five years now, has the company publicly published its yearly statements of operations since we the Taxpayers are supposed to be the owners of this company in the name of Ghana or the Bonny and Clyde family who owns this company?
4. The company was supposed to have thousands of Employeees, how many people are actually working there?
5.Have the company any products on the market locally or internationally?
