Sumaila Badu Gets Title shot

South African Vusi Malinga makes the second defence of his WBC International bantamweight belt when he meets Sumaila Badu of Ghana at the Nasrec Indoor Arena in Johannesburg on Friday, February 2.

Malinga, with 15 wins and two defeats on his record, faces a tough challenge from Badu, whose record stands at 14 wins and two losses.

Badu is the World Boxing Organisation African champion.

Malinga, once the flag-bearer of the Branco Sports Productions stable, is hoping to revive his once promising career and climb back up the international ladder after a one-year suspension.
