Osumanu Adama fights for 3 titles on Friday

Ghana’s former 3-time Africa Boxing Union (ABU) champion Osumanu Adama 18-2 (13KOs) faces American Marcus Upshaw 13-4 (6KO's) in an International Boxing Organisation (IBO) middleweight world title eliminator this Friday March 25 at Hanging Gardens, River Grove, Illinois, USA.

The 30 year old Adama popularly called Ozzie Adams who defeated Angel Hernandez for the IBO International Middleweight title just last December 17, hopes to claim the USBO Title, also on the line will be the Vacant USBA Middleweight title & Vacant IBO Intercontinental Middleweight title.

The Ghanaian who is targeting a world title fight by the end of this year, says he is ready for the challenge of the also 30 year old Upshaw. “It’s going to be a tough fight but I will win. I will put a lot of pressure on him he won't be able to take my punches. They will be coming from every direction. I will handle him of course,” Ozzie Adams told *SportsInGhana.com * from his US base.

Now a resident of North Miami, Florida, USA, the Ghanaian has pledged to soon add his name to the long list of fighters to bring world title glories to the honour of the land. He has assured his countrymen to watch out for him.

“After this fight I want to fight the WBC Champion Sergio Martinez. I think this will be a good fight. As for my fans back home you know I will always love you. Keep me in your prayers and you will see me soon with three title belts, the IBO Intercontinental, USBA and USBO Champion,” Osumanu Adama pledged. *
