GBA refuses to sanction Agbeko bout

The Ghana Boxing Authority has refused to sanction the bout between Joseph “King Kong” Agbeko (30-5, 23 KO’s) and Tanzania’s Haji Juma (16-8-5, 8 KO’s) that was scheduled to take place on Friday October 14, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

According to information gathered by sportscrusader.com, the GBA’s refusal to sanction the bout was due to the failure of Agbeko to fulfil certain imminent requirement that is confidential for the bout to take place.

Further reports indicated that his opponent, Juma had already arrived on Wednesday for the bout, but will return immediately to Tanzania.

Meanwhile, Fresh King Entertainment, promoters of Agbeko have indicated that the fight will take place next month, but are yet to confirm the date.
