Emmanuel Clottey Beaten

Francisco "Panchito" Bojado continued his rise to the top by decisioning Emmanuel Clottey in Atlantic City.

The touted prospect and former Olympian, beaten just once so far as a pro, ground out a hard fought unanimous decision victory over Clottey, who had his moments.

Scores were 97-93, 97-93 and 99-92 for the 20-year-old , who improves to 15-1 (11) as a result.

The teak-tough Clottey, from Accra in Ghana, drops to 21-6 but can take heart from such a display.

The pair traded at close quarters from the opening bell, but Bojado always had that extra bit of quality about his work and came through fairly impressively in the end.
