Commey retains IBF no.5 rating, Lawson no.7, Helen Joseph no.2

The office of the President of IBF/USBA issued the June IBF world ranking where Africa superstars keep climbing and maintains their good ratings at the top sanction body in the world the IBF.

The chairman of the IBF ratings Committee, Anibal Miramontes released the June ratings and the Ghanaian superstar and former IBF Continental Africa champion, Richie Commey maintains his number 5 spot in the Lightweight division.

The title is vacant that gives Commey an opportunity to fight for the Final Elimination against number 3 Miguel Vazquez of Mexico while number 2 Rances Barthelemy from Cuba battles with number 1 Dennis Shafikov from Russia.

It remain to be seeing what would the both the IBF President & CEO, Daryl Peoples and Championship Czar, Lindsey Tucker decide in the coming few days!

The Princess of African boxing, the 'Iron Lady' Helen Joseph is number 2 waiting for her duel against number 1 Jennifer Han of the USA in August at the great El Paso venue in Texas, USA. Kenyan great lady Zarika Kanghete is rated at number 9 in the same featherweight division. Kangethe fought Han on a very short notice in El Paso Texas some few months ago.

Hassan N”Dam from Cameroon who has just lost to the Canadian die hard and the IBF Middleweight champion of the world, David Lemieux dropped to number 5 in the middleweight division. The top two position in number 1 and number 2 are NOT RATED. Number 3 ranked Eamonn O'Kane from Northern Ireland while number 4 ranked Tureano Johnson from United States.

The IBF Ratings Czar ranked former IBF Continental Africa Welterweight King and Ghanaian Freddy Lawson as number 7 in the welterweight division while South African Chris Van Heerden is ranked at number 8.

Paulus Ambunda of Namibia is ranked as number 12 in the Jr. Lightweight division whereas Carl Frampton from Northern Ireland is the champion.

The IBF Ratings Committee is headed by Anibal Miramontes as the Chairperson while members are Onesmo Ngowi from Tanzania, Ray Wheatley from Australia, Glen Hamada from the USA.
