Angry Ike Quartey demands apology from Baby Jet Promotions

Former Ghanaian Boxer Ike Bazooka Quartey is demanding an unqualified apology from boxing promoters Baby Jet Promotions for the inhuman treatment meted out to him during the Emmanuel Tagoe and Joebert Reyes fight at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, April 24.

According to the former WBA Welterweight Champion, he was subjected to unfair treatment by ushers who were working for the boxing promotions.

Narrating the incident to Sportscrusader.com, the 45-year-old retired boxer said even though he was a special invited guest to the event, the organizers of the show ignored him the entire night leaving him stranded.

“I needed to leave because nobody recognized me, there was not even a simple chair for me to sit on, I didn’t go there myself, I was invited and if you invite somebody you have to treat that person special.

“I think that they have to apologize to me because I felt embarrassed on the day, it was just shameful that they didn’t even try to find solutions when I pointed out what I have gone through.
