Accra, Aug 14, GNA -- Kpakpo Allotey, Africa Boxing Union (ABU) Lightweight champion has been offered an opportunity to vie for the Commonwealth Boxing Council (CBC) Lightweight title against defending champion, Graham Earl of England.

Allotey, one of the promising boxers on the Ghanaian local scene and a member of the 'Team Ghana', the nation's world title hopefuls, gained the offer as a result of his exploits on the continent as he holds the ABU title as well as the National and West Africa Lightweight title.

The Ghanaian who is under the management of Obric Sala Promotions is expected to take up the challenge by the close of October. Information gathered by the GNA Sports indicates that the CBC has given notice to potential promoters up to the close of August to send in their bids for the fight, according to the General Secretary Simon Brock.
