Forward ever, backward never. Ayew's past shouldn't be a reasonable basis for him to be included in the Black Star team if he is not in his top form. The Black Star has to be a team of Ghana's best players. And if Ayew's performance in practice is not at a level the Coach expects from him, why should he put him on the team roster? Probably at the expense of a better player being left out of the team. I believe that if Ayew can shake himself up in practice to such a level that the coach is satisfied, he might likely consider that and put him on the team roster. Therefore, looking back to his past contribution to the Black Stars and for that put him in the team, when he is not playing at the level the other players are, it can be a setback for the Black Stars' chances of qualifying to advance in the competition.
