What's wrong with some African leaders and why is it that some of them once they are put in power turn to think that they have the right/mandate to do whatever they want in their country with impunity?
The situation in DRC is typical behavior of some corrupt and power-driven mindset, egomaniacal African leaders. As regards DRC, one thing for sure is that the natural mineral wealth of DRC is not for any one person be it the President of the country or whatever. It all belongs to the people of DRC. One other fact is that being a President of the people, by the people is a privilege and honor bestowed by the people but not a personal right. Therefore, the idea that President Felix of DRC. has proposed to offer access to his Country's rich natural mineral wealth, to a cabal of businesses whose main objective is to pillage and plunder Africa of its natural mineral wealth and to leave the country dry of its natural mineral wealth in exchange for military intervention, whether to prop up his hold onto power or is in the best interest of the country, speaks volumes of who he is and what intentions he may be entertaining. Anyway, whatever it is, it is a bad idea for a leader of a country to give unflinching access to his country's natural mineral wealth to an interloper.
