  The Circuit Court in Ghana has jurisdiction over both criminal and civil cases. A breakdown of its jurisdiction:
  - *Civil Cases*: The court handles cases related to:
  - *Land disputes*: ownership, title, possession, and occupation of land, with a value not exceeding GH¢ 10,000,000
  - *Landlord and tenant issues*: disputes between landlords and tenants
  - *Contract or tort*: civil actions arising from contract or tort, with claims not exceeding GH¢ 10,000,000
  - *Liquidated claims*: recovery of liquidated claims not exceeding GH¢ 10,000,000
  - *Probate and Letters of Administration*: applications where the property value does not exceed GH¢ 10,000
  - *Custody of children*: matters involving child custody
  - *Criminal Cases*: The court has original jurisdiction in all criminal matters, except:
  - *Treason*: cases involving treason are handled by a higher court
