Tottenham Hotspur head coach Roberto De Zerbi has provided a tentative fitness update on Kudus Mohammed, suggesting the Ghanaian could be in line for a return to the matchday squad when Tottenham host Newcastle at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Speaking to the media at Hotspur Way on Friday, the Italian tactician was asked for the latest team news regarding his squad. While confirming that new signings Savio and Omar Marmoush are available, along with key defensive figures like Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro, De Zerbi offered a cautious word on Kudus’s status.

“Maybe Kudus can come on the bench. We have to see,” De Zerbi stated.

The brief remark suggests the player is nearing a return to action, though the manager remained non-committal, indicating a late decision will be made on the attacker’s involvement.

De Zerbi made it clear that while most of his squad are in the right condition to play, the starting eleven is still a work in progress as the team searches for the right balance.

“We have to look, we have to understand the beginning part of the game,” De Zerbi added, referencing other players like Savio and Pedro (Porro) who are also available.

“Like Savio, like Pedro. Marmoush is available to play, maybe also the beginning of the game,” he added.
