Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon and Deputy Minister for Food and Agriculture, John Dumelo, has announced a series of initiatives to enable residents of the constituency to follow Ghana's matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
In a post shared on X on Thursday, June 11, 2026, Dumelo said he had paid for DStv subscriptions at television viewing centres across Ayawaso West to facilitate access to World Cup matches.
He also announced the installation of free giant screens at selected locations within the constituency. According to him, giant screens will be available at Abelemkpe Astro Turf Park, Mempasem, Airport Residential Area, West Legon and Dzorwulu for all Ghana matches.
A separate giant screen at Okponglo will show all matches throughout the tournament.
Dumelo further disclosed that he had engaged 13 kenkey sellers across the constituency to provide free meals consisting of kenkey and fish for residents who attend the Ghana match viewing events.
He described the initiative as support for residents as they follow the Black Stars during the tournament.
The MP concluded the announcement with a message of support for the national team, urging Ghanaians to rally behind the Black Stars throughout the competition.
