Nov. 2006: Tanta FC's central defender, William has played in Egypt for the last 5 years but with Tanta promotion to Egypt´s highest level, William´s breathtaking skills are finally getting recognised.
He is one of the shining young stars in the Egyptian Premier League this season . William showed some impresive performances for his team Tanta this season.<
In 2009, William Mensah was called to join the Black Stars Team in preparation for the 2010 African Cup of Nations and World Cup, but due to injury, he couldn’t feature in any of the games.
Former Black Stars Coach, Milovan Rajevac, at the time described William Mensah as an excellent and remarkable player who expertise was needed in the Ghana Black Stars Team, an accreditation he still believes is very true.
