No Recall For Boateng - GFA

The Ghana football association has denied claims in Swedish newspapers that Ghanaian international Derek Boateng has been called up to the Black Stars for next week?s friendly against Saudi Arabia.

The agent of the former under-20 star, Patrick Mork, says his client has a big chance to snap up a place in Ghana?s world cup squad.

Latest reports in the Swedish media had indicated that the AIK Solna player has been named for the Saudi friendly.

According to the agent, the 22-year-old Derek has time on his side to stake a claim in the Black Stars? team preparing for the world cup in Germany.

"This is Derek's big chance to take a place in the World Cup side," Mork said.

"He is tremendously inspired for the challenge.

"To play at the World Cup is the biggest thing a footballer can do."
