Hearts and Kotoko to vie for Original Pay All Trophy

Accra, Aug. 2, GNA - Champion club, Accra Hearts of Oak are to play against Kuamsi Asante Kotoko in a two-leg tie for the Asare Original Pay All trophy.

The first leg is expected to come off at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra on Friday, August 5 with the second encounter slated for the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on August 12. The two-leg soccer bonanza between the country's football arch-rivals is also to officially launch the Kotoko and Hearts Original Pay All Special Raffles.

Mr A.M. Awal, President of the Sports One Network Foundation who announced these in Accra on Tuesday, said both teams had agreed to honour the matches.

He said the winner of the two matches would be presented with the trophy and an amount of 10 million cedis while the vanquished side take receives 10 million cedis with 35 percent of the gate proceeds going to each club.

Mr Awal took the opportunity to announce the rates for the first match as 15,000 cedis for the Popular Stand, 20,000 cedis for the Osu Stand, 30,000 cedis for the Upper Terrace while the Wings would attract 40,000 cedis and the VIP going for 50,000 cedis.

He called on the supporters and the sports-loving public to patronise the matches and raffles as a way of contributing towards the development and benefit of the Clubs.
