Gargo to play in Serie B?

Mohammed Gargo's Genoa could be kicked out of Serie A, after being charged with rigging the final game of last season.

Genoa sealed promotion on the final day with a 3-2 win against Venezia - but evidence has been supplied that there was collusion between the two clubs and both have been charged.

Genoa chief Enrico Preziosi, his son Matteo and director Stefano Capozucca stand accused of "collaborating to achieve sporting fraud."

The club are also charged directly and will be held responsible - with potential punishments including dismissal from the league, a hefty fine or a points deduction.

Venezia owner Franco Dal Cin, director general Michele Dal Cin and fellow director Giuseppe Pagliara and two players - Martin Lejsal and Massimo Borgobello - have also been charged, along with the club.

The trial will start on July 26.
