Ebusua Dwarfs beat UCC's Atlantic Hall

Cape Coast, April 14, GNA - Newly promoted Ebusua Dwarfs beat Atlantic Hall of University of Cape Coast (UCC) 2-1 in a friendly soccer match played at the Robert Mensah Sports stadium at Cape Coast, on Wednesday.

The match formed part of the activities to commemorate the Atlantic Hall Week celebrations.

It was Atlantic Hall who dominated play right from the blast of Class one referee, Kwame Ghartey's whisttle and continued to dictate the pace of the game for the greater part of the first half. They went ahead to earn two penalty kicks in the 12th and 19th minutes but their midfielder, Sebastian Shika and centre half Amoah Konadu wasted the resultant kicks.

Dwarfs forced the tide in their favour and scored the opener through centre forward, Tuarej Adama in the 24th minute.

Abdul Majeed fetched the equaliser in the 57th minute but Atlantic Hall's hopes of ending the game in a draw were shattered when Dwarf's midfielder, Frank Adjei raised his side's tally to 2-1 with a well taken free kick in the dying minutes of the game.
