Everton keeping tabs on Appiah

Everton are monitoring Stephen Appiah's situation at Juventus.

The Ghana international midfielder has failed to nail down a regular first team place at Juve under coach Fabio Capello and has already been offered to Lecce as a makeweight for Argentine Cristian Ledesma.

Lecce knocked back Juve's offer, but it's looking more likely the Turin giants will seek a buyer for Appiah in the summer to free up a non-EU slot in their squad.

Everton boss Dave Moyes is tracking the youngster, but will face competition from Atletico Madrid, Brescia and Fiorentina should he decide to go for the Ghanaian.
