Ghanaian youth striker Said Ahmed Said scored the consolation goal for Hajduk split when they slipped to a 2-1 loss to Romanian giants Steaue Bucuresti in the UEFA Europa League.

The former Genoa and Inter Milan striker will play no further part of the competition as his side are eliminated following the defeat on Thursday night.

With the first-leg ending 0-0, the Croatians needed positive results but they allowed the Romanians to score a 93rd minute goal to snatch qualification from under their noses.

Said, a product of Inter Milan’s academy, scored from a Sego Michele assist in the 82nd minute and appeared to have helped his side to seal progress but the hosts scored late to snatch it.
