Akosombo FC beat Krystal Palace 2-1

Two first half goals was enough to see Akosombo FC triumph over Krystal Palace by a 2-1 score line in their epic Eastern Regional zone one second division league match played at the Akosombo Sports Stadium.

Akosombo FC broke the deadlock in the 16th minute through offensive midfielder Nicholas Kwame and doubled the lead in the 23rd minute through Kwasi Nugah, whose beautiful header displaced the Krystal Palace goalkeeper.

Krystal Palace after conceding the two goals upped their game in an effort to redeem the goals and dominated play in the latter part of the first half.

Their persistency paid off in the 45th minute, when their midfielder Emmanuel Obuobi headed home to pull a goal back before the half ended.

On assumption of the second half, both teams created many chances but failed to find the back of the net.

The win for Akosombo FC takes them to 18 points, with an outstanding match at hand, whiles Krystal Palace leads the league with 19 points.
