Hearts will participate in Top Four

Accra, Jan. 21, GNA - The management of Accra Hearts of Oak has said the stalemate between the club's National Chapters Committee and the Ghana League Clubs Association has been resolved and that the club will participate in the Coca Cola Top Four Competition which kick-starts in Kumasi on Wednesday.

Subsequently, the Hearts-King Faisal match will be honoured at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday.

A statement issued in Accra on Wednesday and signed by Ashford Tettey Oku, Administrative Manager of Hearts, said the competition apart from generating revenue for the club would also help prepare the team for the CAF Champions league campaign.

The statement said the "the tournament must be saved to serve as encouragement for potential sponsors".

It said the decision to participate stems from Kotoko's expression of regret for the late start of the competition as well as their departure and late re-entry into the competition.

The statement urged all Phobians fans to patronize matches involving the club and to partake in special raffle draws to support the team.
