Asamerik reap goal harvest

Cape Coast, Jan.13, GNA - Cape Coast Asamerik reaped a goal harvest when they whipped Oguaa United 5-0 in their outstanding second division league match played at the Cape Coast sports stadium on Monday. By the victory, Asamerik has been catapulted to the second position on the league table with 31 points.

Outside left, Ebenezer Kwame Akumpong who scored a hat trick during the match was responsible for the sweet victory for Asamerick. From the blast of the whistle, Asamerik took absolute command of the game and scored three rapid goals through Akumpong in the 5th 10th and 15th minute respectively.

Inspired by this early lead, Asamerik continued to dictate the pace and increased the tally to 4-0 when Salifu Abu scored with a free kick. On resumption, Oguaa United made some changes but that did not deter their opponents from raising the tally to 5-0 through midfielder Isaac Arthur in the 85th minute.
