Ex-Ghana international Laryea Kingston has signed a short-term deal with Northern Cypriot second-tier side Genclik Gucu Sport Club.

The deal was brokered by FIFA licensed agent Tekin Birinci.

The former Heart of Midlothian winger has not played competitive football since 2013 when he was released by Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak.

The 35-year-old has joined former Ghana youth international Daniel Addo.

Kingston featured in Wednesday's friendly against B.Ü.Y.

The deal is expected to be Kingston’s last pay cheque until he finally hangs up his boots.

Kingston has already played for European clubs including Maccabi Ahu Nazareth and Hapoel Tel Aviv all of Israel and Russian sides Krylia Sovetov, Terek Grozny and Lokomotiv Moscow.

He also had a short spell with Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.
