Ghana and TP Mazembe tricky winger Solomon Asante returned to action and immediately made his mark with a man of the match performance for the Ravens.
The 26-year-old winger who can also play in midfield provided two assists to help the current CAF Champions League champions to a 3-0 win over Sharks FC in the Congolese League.
The diminutive winger set up fellow Ghanaian Yaw Frimpong who turned his marker inside out before finding Singuluma who got the first goal of the game.
Asante’s direct running was causing Sharks FC all kinds of problems and his through ball in the early part of the second half put Nathan Sinkala through and the Zambian made it two for the Congolese giants.
Robert Assale made it 3-0 on the 92nd minute and it was the same man Solomon Asante at the heart of goal after he took out two players to find the Ivorian who got into the score-sheet.
His performance on the day should encourage new coach Hubert Velud who has been deprived of Solomon Asante’s quality due to both on and off the field issues.
