Ghana defender Daniel Opare will make his debut in the German Bundesliga today when his club Augsburg take on on Werder Bremen, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 25-year-old has been named in the team's starting line up for his first appearance in the German top-flight league.
The defender will be handed his first start at Augsburg following the absence of injured captain and regular right-back Paul Verhaegh.
Opare has returned into the good books of Augsburg manager Markus Weinzierl after falling out with him over the lack of playing time since moving to the club.
His Augsburg career looked to be hanging in the balance last month but the German 'worked on a solution' to the Ghana defender's situation which paved the way for him to return to favour.
The 25-year-old was suspended from all club activities after turning up late for training last month.
Opare's career is now set to flourish if he excels in his first game in the Bundesliga which could spark his return to the Black Stars.
Opare, who has 16 caps for the Black Stars, was expected to fill the void created by the absence of injured captain and regular right-back Paul Verhaegh.
He won the Fifa U-20 World Cup with Ghana in 2009 and played for the senior side at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil but has since been overlooked by Ghana coach Avram Grant due to a lack of regular club football.
