Frank Acheampong shocked recent rich vein of scoring form

Ghana midfielder Frank Acheampong is surprised by his purple patch of scoring form at his Belgian top-flight side Anderlecht.

The winger has scored in successive games tallying three goals in two league matches.

Acheampong’s surge in form has come as a huge surprise after he struggled for game time early on this season.

"I don't understand what's going on,", Acheampong. "I am scoring all the time lately, even on training."

Acheampong broke into the Anderlecht starting line-up after Dodi Lukebakio got sanctioned due to disciplinary issues.

"I don't care how I get selected. Once I am selected, I just give everything I can and I try to grab my chance with both hands. I might be young, but mentally I am strong enough to succeed as a football player,” he added.
