Coach Mohammed Polo claims his former club Hearts of Oak lack vision, after the Phobians dropped further into the relegation zone following a 2-1 loss to Asante Kotoko on Sunday.
Hearts are experiencing their worst campaign ever and could definitely face relegation if they lose their midweek away fixture against Liberty Professionals on Wednesday.
“Hearts of Oak have no vision as things stand now. They are supposed to know what they want as a team, because there are so many factors that have led to their dwindling fortunes this season,” Polo told Starr FM.
Polo had an unsuccessful six-month stint with the club in 2013 /2014 before he was replaced by Herbert Addo who was succeeded by current coach Eddy Ansah.
“I remember when I took over, I tried to have discussions with the board chairman on the direction of the team, where he really wanted the club to be. But it was never possible.
“It is now clear that the rampant changing of coaches has rendered the club visionless and weak,” the 58-year-old said.
A former player of Hearts, Polo led the team to a third-place finish after taking over from David Duncan.
Hearts are currently at 15th position on the 16-team league log with 29 points.
