Queens Praised For Discipline

The head coach of the national women football team, Oko Aryee has lauded the high level of discipline by the players for the period they have been in camp.

Mr. Aryee said their response to training has been impressive and said that with such an attitude the Queens will go places.

Speaking to the ‘Times Sports’ in an interview after a hectic training session at the Accra Sports Stadium yesterday, the technical head disclosed that with the exception of Alberta Secakey, Elizabeth Baidoo, Adjoa Bayor and Kuulu Yahaya all the other players are in camp and are doing extremely well.

Oko Aryee explained that Alberta Sackey who was recently voted the best female footballer on the continent and Elizabeth Baidoo are undertaking academic courses in the US while Adjoa Bayor and Kuulu Yahaya are out for greener pastures.

According to him, the four players will be available latest by June for them to start training with the locally based players.

The team, he said, will be traveling to the various regions to engage selected sides in friendly matches to keep them in shape before they embark to China for the women World Cup later in the year.
