Sulley Muntari’s agent, Federico Pastorello, has denied rumours of a rift between his client and AC Milan manager Pippo Inzaghi.
The Ghanaian, after a good run at the beginning of the season, has dropped down the pecking order in midfield and mostly starts games for the Rossonerri from the bench. His dwindling form has been reported to be due to a rumoured rift with Inzaghi but his agent has refuted the claims.
“The relationship with Inzaghi has always been good, even before Pippo became the coach of AC Milan,” Pastorello told MilanNews.
“At the beginning Muntari was playing, then Inzaghi made different choices, but Muntari is a great professional and therefore has always accepted the decisions of his coach. He suffers when he is on the bench because he would like to make a contribution."
Muntari’s current contract expires at the end of the 2015/16 campaign but has already been linked with a move to the MLS should there be the need to move on this summer.
He recently spoke of his desire to run out his remaining deal with Milan.
